We are going to explore the world of Pablo Picasso. Our focus will be on examining his art and discovering about the various periods of his life as displayed through his artwork. Let's begin!
Step ONE:
Open a new Google Document and make a prediction about what you believe the term: art period/art movement means.
Next, open up a new Google browser.
Find a definition for "art period" or an "art movement". Record your findings in a Google document. Share your prediction and online findings both orally and utilizing Google Doc's with at least 2 peers in your class. Discuss whether or not your original prediction was correct/incorrect. Record your findings.

While viewing, try to notice similarities and differences between the paintings featured.

1. Blue Period (1903-5)
2. Rose Period (1905-6)
3. Cubism (1907-25, includes the Proto-Cubist, Analytical and Synthetic Periods)
4. Neo-Classicism (1920-30)
5. Surrealism (1926 onwards)
6. A style reminiscent of stained glass (1932 onwards)
7. A style with strong expressionist elements (1938 onwards)
Be sure to look up the example(s) listed for each period. This will help to give you a better visual representation of the stylist approach Picasso had during each, specific time.
